The Sheikh Zayed Hospital Reconstruction Project is considered one of the most important strategic healthcare projects in the capital, Baghdad. The project involves the demolition of the existing buildings and the construction of a new hospital in accordance with the latest approved engineering and medical standards. The project has been awarded to the UAE-based AKG Engineering Company under a grant provided by the United Arab Emirates, in support of efforts to develop the healthcare sector in the Republic of Iraq.
The project is being implemented in line with the highest technical and engineering standards and in compliance with the requirements of the Ministry of Health. It includes the design and execution of all civil and structural works, mechanical, electrical, and sanitary systems, as well as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. In addition, the project covers the supply and installation of medical equipment, medical and non-medical furniture, ensuring the provision of an integrated healthcare environment that meets the needs of citizens.
The project aims to enhance the level of medical services provided and to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in the central area of the capital, while adhering to the approved schedule and specifications that ensure high-quality execution and long-term operational efficiency.
