The Director General of the Anbar Health Directorate, Dr. Khudair Khalaf Shalal, conducted a field visit on Tuesday, 6 January 2026, to the Al-Karmah Hospital construction project with a capacity of 100 beds, to review the progress of implementation and the advanced completion rate, which has reached 88%.

During the inspection tour, Dr. Khudair reviewed the ongoing stages of work, particularly the delivery and installation of medical equipment, stressing the importance of accelerating completion in accordance with the approved technical specifications to ensure the hospital’s readiness to provide high-quality healthcare services that meet the needs of the residents of Al-Karmah District and surrounding areas.

The visit included an inspection of the main hospital building, medical and therapeutic departments, service buildings, doctors’ accommodation, and internal courtyards, in addition to the oxygen production plant and the wastewater treatment station, given their vital role in ensuring operational sustainability and enhancing service efficiency.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Director General directed the project teams to continue work at an accelerated pace while adhering to the approved timelines and technical standards, noting that the hospital has reached its final stages in preparation for its opening in the near future, due to its importance in reducing pressure on other healthcare institutions and improving the level of healthcare services in the governorate.
