Under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Eng. Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani, the Minister of Health, Dr. Saleh Al-Hasnawi, inaugurated on Saturday, May 10, 2025, the Health Center at Baghdad International Airport after the completion of its full rehabilitation and development works.

He was accompanied by Dr. Eng. Hossam Alwan, Director General of the Department of Specialized Engineering Projects and Services; Dr. Wael Kamel Al-Kubaissi, Director General of Baghdad Al-Karkh Health Directorate; Dr. Fadel Okla Al-Rubaie, Director of Operations and Emergency Medical Services; the Director of the Operations Department in the Directorate; and Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Salam, Director of the Health Center.

The Minister affirmed that this achievement comes within the Ministry’s plans to enhance the infrastructure of health institutions and expand service coverage in border points and strategic locations, as well as to provide medical support for the Arab League Summit.

He noted that the rehabilitation works were executed by AKG Engineering Company within a record time frame, in accordance with the highest technical specifications and approved health standards. The Minister also commended the efforts of the engineering and medical staff for their contributions to the success of this project.
