The Al-Hakim General Hospital Project is one of the major healthcare developments in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf Governorate. It was executed on a Design & Build (Turnkey) basis, with a capacity of 246 beds and a total built-up area of 39,564 m², using reinforced concrete structural systems, and in full compliance with the designs approved by the Design Department of the Ministry of Health.

The project includes the design and execution of all civil, mechanical, electrical, sanitary, and HVAC works, in addition to the supply and installation of medical equipment, medical and non-medical furniture, with completion within the specified time frame.

The complex consists of four main buildings:

1. Main Hospital Building

2. Doctors’ Residence Building

3. Service Building No.1 (Utility Station)

4. Service Building No.2

First: Main Hospital Building

The main building consists of a ground floor and four upper floors, distributed as follows:

• Ground Floor:
  Emergency and accident unit, outpatient clinics, endoscopy unit, diagnostic imaging, scientific departments, dialysis unit, chemotherapy unit, physiotherapy and rehabilitation unit, main laboratories, blood bank, and mortuary.

• Service Floor (Basement):
  Laundry section, central store, pharmacy, central workshop, kitchen, hospital administration, medical records, central sterilization unit, cafeteria, and main laboratories.

• First Floor:
  Surgical department (5 operating rooms), delivery hall, intensive care unit (ICU), catheterization laboratory, and coronary care unit (CCU).

• Second Floor:
  Pediatric ward, obstetrics and gynecology ward.

• Third Floor:
  Inpatient ward and general surgery ward.

Second: Service Building No.1 (Utility Station)

Includes the main support and service facilities for the hospital.

Third: Service Building No.2

Consists of one floor, containing the water tank and pumps, medical gas room, cooling and refrigeration systems, additional water reservoir, and electrical room.
