The Al-Qarma General Hospital Project is one of the key healthcare developments implemented in Al-Anbar Governorate.
It was executed on a Design & Build (Turnkey) basis, with a capacity of 122 beds and a total built-up area of 21,625 m², using a reinforced-concrete structural system and in full compliance with the designs approved by the Design Department of the Ministry of Health.

The project covers the design and execution of all civil, mechanical, electrical, sanitary, and HVAC works, in addition to the supply and installation of medical equipment and both medical and non-medical furniture, all completed within the scheduled timeframe.


Project Components

  1. Main Hospital Building
    Consisting of four floors with a total built-up area of 17,707 m², distributed as follows:

  • Ground Floor (4,575 m²):
    Includes the emergency ward, physiotherapy department, radiology section, blood bank, outpatient clinics, and storage areas.
  • First Floor (4,439 m²):
    Houses the administrative wing, central kitchen with dining hall, laundry and sterilization unit, central laboratory, and storage rooms.
  • Second Floor (4,330 m²):
    Comprises the surgical ward, internal medicine ward, and pediatric ward.
  • Third Floor (3,363 m²):
    Contains the maternity ward, main operating theaters, intensive-care unit, cardiac-care unit, and recovery ward.
  • Fourth Floor:
    Dedicated to technical and service facilities.
  • Mortuary Building:
    A separate structure located within the hospital site.

  1. Staff Housing Building
    A three-story residential facility consisting of:

  • Ground Floor: 17 bedrooms, each with sanitary units and a shared kitchen, two staircases, and two elevators.
  • First Floor: Similar layout to the ground floor.
  • Second Floor: Two lounges — one for males and one for females.

  1. Service Building
    Includes the generator and transformer rooms, chiller and boiler rooms, pumping station, control room, maintenance workshop, and two reinforced-concrete water tanks (capacities 600 m³ and 800 m³), along with the medical-gas room and a liquid-oxygen storage tank.


  1. Four main access gates, each equipped with security and reception facilities.

  2. Helipad for emergency medical air transport.

  3. Wastewater-treatment plant for sanitary discharge.

  4. Comprehensive landscape area (SCAPE LAND) including gardens, pedestrian paths, and car-parking zones.
