The Minister of Health, Prof. Dr. Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi, received the UAE Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Abdullah Matar Al Mazrouei, and his accompanying delegation on Monday, 22 December 2025, at the Ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of the Ministry’s Technical and Administrative Undersecretaries, a number of Directors General, and the Director General of Baghdad Al-Rusafa Health Directorate.

During the meeting, the Minister and the Ambassador discussed the stages of construction of Sheikh Zayed Hospital in the capital, Baghdad, and reviewed the progress of the demolition and reconstruction works. The Minister emphasized the importance of completing the project in accordance with the highest quality standards to ensure the provision of advanced medical services and high operational efficiency.
