Iraqi Minister of Interior Abdil Ameer Al-Shimmary and President of the Iraqi Football Association Adnan Dirjal visited the Al-Shorta Sports Club Stadium to follow up on the progress of work ahead of its official inauguration.
They were received by Engineer Dr. Mohammed Al-Khasaki, Chairman of AKG Engineering, the company executing the project. Dr. Al-Khasaki presented a comprehensive briefing on the stages of implementation and the achieved progress, highlighting the engineering, structural, and technological features incorporated into the stadium’s design and construction.
He emphasized that the project was carried out in accordance with the highest international standards in terms of design, construction, lighting systems, and field preparation, in full compliance with AFC and FIFA specifications. He also affirmed the company’s commitment to completing the project on schedule while maintaining world-class quality and precision.
The visiting delegation praised the efforts of AKG Engineering’s teams, commending their professionalism, efficiency, and high execution quality, noting that this achievement represents a significant addition to Iraq’s sports infrastructure and reflects the capabilities of national companies in delivering large-scale strategic projects.
